What became a regular tradition of our days skiing up on the mountain was the mid afternoon drinking session at the little Dachberghütte which is the highest bar on the mountain. It's a really small cosy place that has seating for maybe 12 people inside and another 20 or so outside.
Well, it turns out that not too many Aussies have been to the bar here, which led us to getting to know the hostess Sabina pretty well. Soon enough, we started talking about our accommodation (the Hobbit House) and so we invited Sabina and her partner over to check it out. To our surprise, Sabina offered to cook us a traditional Swiss-Italian dinner (Sabina and her partner were both from Tichino - the Italian part of Switzerland) - so of course we said yes!
A night of good company, conversation and Amarone followed.
